Ajarn Kob adds a new Sak Yant to Patty

Yes, I still have plenty of room. Both Patty and I visit with Ajarn Kob in Ayutthaya, and received new Sak Yants. Patty received the Sak Yant on her right shoulder for "good fortune", I also received my "good fortune" Sak Yant (two small circular designs under the Gecko). We are also in the process of translating Ajarn Kob's Sak Yant notebooks that the students use to choose their Sak Yant designs into english.

wonderful work – thanks a lot for this post. You seem to have found your Ajarn who you feel comfortable with. I always like to see people who find their Ajarn and stick with him. You seem to be beuildiing a good rapport with your chosen Ajarn. I am so pleased to hear you are helpping him with making the design books accessible to foreigners by putting them in English. Don’t hesitate to ask me if you need help with anything
Thank you Mr. Littlewood for your kind words. I have video of Ajarn Kob applying Sak Yant, but I am having trouble posting. Can you advise? Do I post here? Will all these photos and videos be moved to Ajarn Kob’s page at some point? Thanks again for you and your work here on Sak Yant.
yes i think to arrange the info all into ajarn Kob’s page – it is best to upload the videos to you tube or to google videos or even better to stagevu.com which will give a better quality i think
then you can insert the embed code here in the post by clicking on html view when editing the post, or you can send me the link to the video and i shall insert it..
i will check your permissions to make sure you can post all options here. I can open option for tyou to be able to access Ajarn Kops page here too, which i shall do tomorrow

Hey hotpepper53
I have been doing a lot of reading recently about Hinduism and Buddhism. These tattoos absolutely fascinate me. I have been thinking about getting the 5 physical chakra (Vishuddha, Anahata, Manipura, Svadhisthana, Muladhara) and the Nadis tattooed up my back along my spine… however I’m not sure that it would be acceptable? I’m 18 and am considering travelling Asia… I would really like to get a Sak Yant. However the actual meaning is very important to me. Did you end up translating Ajarn Kob’s Sak Yant notebooks? I would really appreciate it if you could somehow send me a copy?
I’m going to defer to Mr. Spencer Littlewood (dharmathai.com/buddhism-blog/sakyant@gmail.com), for the meaning of the requested Sak yants (5 physical chakra) and the acceptability.
The books that were translated, were Ajarn Kob’s personal notebooks that he compiled while a student with Ajarn Luong Poo Nie. I returned all the material to Ajarn Kob, plus his new translated copy.
You can’t go wrong in contacting Mr. Spencer Littlewood. When you come to Thailand see Ayutthaya’s old ruins then go on out to Ajarn Kob’s.
