Also now Ajarn Kob has a “English Translation” of Ajarn Louong Poo Nie’s Book of Sak Yants.
Now foreigners,(farangs) who read “English” can read about the Sak yants available, what the cost are, and what each Sak yant represents. This will aid “those of us that don’t speak much Thai” and make the experience more comfortable, which is also what Ajarn Kob wanted.

Where can I order this book?
The books that were translated, were Ajarn Kob’s personal notebooks that he compiled while a student with Ajarn Luong Poo Nie. I returned all the material to Ajarn Kob, plus his new translated copy.
this means that anyone wanting a copy will have to visit ajarn kob and ask to fotocopy?
I would warn that he should only let people see it but not take it and fotocopy, as after many years of experience in people wishing for info like this, i have seen that many people dont want the info for their own information, rather to use as a univewrsity thesis or their own book publ;ication which they will make money out of and not share with the original author or person who worked and suffered to gather the knowledge.
I personally have shared much info with people in the past who wrote and asked me, only to see them making money out of a publication made using the info extracted from me. These kind of people make their living by letting others do the hard work and then extracting all the necessary info out of them and using other peoples merits as their way of making either money, or an academic impression.
This has caused me to keep all my best info and material for the book i have planned to publish for years, and will only announce when it is about to be published.
I suggest that Ajarn Kob do the same.. if not one day he will see someone made a publication (and money) using his info, and he wont have seen a penny of it. Make sure he publishes and copyrights it before handing out any copies.
This is exactly correct. Ajarn Kob’s books are “HIS Property”. Your request would have to be made to him. I am his student and am eternally grateful that I could be a service to my Ajarn in translating his work to allow him to reach “English speaking people”. Gary D. Hazel
so it would be a good idea to help ajarn make a “real” book an puplishing it. so all the money goes to him and his wat.
I was just thinking that if i translated all Ajarn Thoys old tomes then wed have an encyclopedia of yant..
I do have work on my book done but i keep restructuring it as im not sure how to present it.
I personally wish to go for an academic approach, whereas most publishers who have approached me till now want some coffee table book with loads of pics and some captions.. i dont want to make a titties and beer production so keep refusing publishers.
